Update on weather conditions & the situation in Valencia
UPDATE - 4 November
Dear All,
We would like to provide you with an update ahead of the event. After further assessing the situation in Valencia over the weekend, we have been reassured by the local authorities and the hotel to proceed with the event.
We want to support the community in the province of Valencia and are pleased we can continue to bring business to the area. Shortly, we will announce a way for you to donate to those affected by the floods in the province, especially in remote areas over 50 km from Valencia city (should you wish to do so). Thanks to the involvement of the national government and the deployment of additional army troops, the cleanup process has accelerated, with the majority of the debris now cleared.
Unaffected Areas: The Hotel Las Arenas, Valencia city centre, and the road connecting the airport to the venue are fully operational and were unaffected by the flash flood, which subsided last Wednesday. Please see the official tourist information here.
Affected Areas:Media footage shows devastation in villages in Valencia province and the outskirts of Valencia city. [Please see the detailed maps of the affected areas in the province of Valencia]
Weather Update: There are no weather alerts in the entire province of Valencia nor in the surrounding provinces this week. Please see MeteoAlarm The weather alerts have been lifted over the weekend. Another link [Agencia Estatal de Meteorologia / Agency of Meteorology]
